With Falkirk Council reducing its commitment to community spaces, residents have stepped in to fundraise and to carry out maintenance on public green spaces themselves.
The Dunmore Village Association (DVA) has raised funds to look after flower beds, cut grass between infrequent council cuts, and maintain Lillian’s Garden, the sensory garden which it leases from Falkirk Council.
How you can help
Help to run Village fundraising events: Helpers are always needed to run events – you don’t need to be part of the committee. Got an idea for event? Let us know, we’d love to help.
Look after the flower beds: Do you have a spare 15 minutes? Have a go at weeding or edging village flower beds on the green, or in Lillian’s Garden.
Join the gardening club: Get involved and have your say in village garden projects and share your own gardening experiences.
Litter picking: The village holds an annual litter pick in the spring, but we encourage you to get out and pick at any time!
