Falkirk Council have redesigned and provided plants for the two flower beds that flank the water pump on the village green. They have worked with charity Repollinate to select plants that will help and protect bees and other pollinators.
The first batch of plants have arrived and been put in place by members of our Gardening Club, who also worked hard to prepare the soil by weeding and laying new compost.
Until the plants are established we will need to keep on top of hoeing and watering these beds. More plants are to come in the next few weeks.
